One Girl Can is a non-profit organization that funds the education of girls in Kenya through scholarships, mentorship, workplace training, and leadership programming. Since 2008, we’ve helped girls access the education and support they need to build meaningful futures.

Our work is built around three pillars: educate, train, and mentor. We fund scholarships, renovate schools, provide workplace training, host leadership conferences, and connect girls with mentors from high school through career development.

Mentorship begins in high school through workshops and mentorship clubs and continues through university and post-graduation programming. Graduates can also be paired with professional mentors for one-on-one career guidance.

Donations support One Girl Can’s overall programming, scholarships, mentorship, and operations. Sponsorships directly fund a specific student’s education journey through high school or university.

You can sponsor a student, become a mentor, host a fundraiser, volunteer your time, or become a corporate partner supporting career opportunities for graduates.

Since 2008, One Girl Can has renovated more than 130 schools, awarded over 1,200 scholarships, trained more than 1,675 students, and mentored over 35,250 girls.

One Girl Can was founded by Lotte Davis, who moved from South Africa to Canada as a child during apartheid and later returned to Africa to create educational opportunities for girls in Kenya.
